Yep, that is all you've got to work on. You're in a cave and you need to get the frook out of it before your headache turns into an aneurism. This is an rpg adventure game where you make your wave through the cave network smashing things, collecting things, using things and of course KILLING things.
Keep an eye on ur hitpoinst and eat something recover lost points. Look out for keys - they are important if u want to unlock different sections of this cave which just happens to look like a dungeon.
Move about and find your way out and hopefully fix that damn headache that is bothering you!
