Yep, the work continues through into day 8. You're still working with Gran Pa to ge things right on the ranch for Gran Ma's return. I really thought day 7 would be it... but noooo you have more work to do and you get to do it with the most awesome Gran Pa in the world. Lucky you. Now get your butt into gear and do some work or Gran Ma will be furious and most likely rip you head off.
It's a point and click adventure game thingie. So your objective is to point and click at things and achieve different things and make the farm better and fixed up. Can you do this? I hope so, because there are still so many things to do.
